At the heart of each project is the ability to enhance space by paying close attention to how people interact with each environment they are in. Recent work involves a close study on how individuals interact with “third places” in their cities, and how this contributes to a higher quality of life over time. Get in touch to learn more today!

Sam Houston State University
BA in Interior Design.
what was learned.
This was a fun year full of learning the basic knowledge of Interior Design. This is where we were taught to sketch up quick elevation plans, hand drafting blue prints, writing specification sheets, gaining knowledge in materials, adjacency matrix, and space planning. AutoCAD and Revit were introduced, as well as SketchUp.
what was gained.
This is the semester that we had to take the knowledge we learned from Sophomore classes, and create full projects that combined many of the classes together. We also learned the basics of lighting and electrical plans. All of our projects used either AutoCAD or Revit and Photoshop.
what to expect.
This is the semester is expected to be the most realistic, and get us going on what the real design world potentially look like. We are given a couple large design projects that we must complete throughout the semester including a Cultural Center and Commercial Interior Design Office Space. We are required to completely understand and promote ADA as well as TAS through-out our designs, as well as sticking with guidelines of building codes.
